Dr. Chase Woodward is an Omaha native, fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon, educator, business owner, and philanthropist. At a young age he was inspired by his father's spine surgery practice. Dr. Woodward graduated from Omaha Westside High School with distinction. He was a member of the varsity tennis team, drum line captain, and senior class president. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University where he majored in chemistry, served as his fraternity president, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and graduated with magna cum laude honors. Thereafter he volunteered a year of national service with AmeriCorps launching a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Chicago. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees at The Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

He continued his training at the highest levels when he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and then a spine surgery fellowship at Washington University in Saint Louis. In 2018 he chose to return to Omaha to join the surgeons at Nebraska Spine + Pain Center, a spine specialty practice founded over 60 years ago. As a fellowship-trained and board-certified spine surgeon, he cares for adult and pediatric patients with a special interest in complex spine surgery, including scoliosis and revision surgery. He is an assistant clinical professor at Creighton University School of Medicine.

He is married to Allison Woodward, a former registered nurse who now manages Countryside Cones, their boutique ice cream shop located in Omaha's Countryside Village shopping center. Dr. Woodward's hobbies include smoking meat on his Big Green Egg, racket sports, collecting works by Omaha artists, and spending time with his three young children, Clare, Ruth, and Robert.

Dr. Woodward is available to see patients at Nebraska Spine + Pain Center in Omaha as well as at our satellite office in Columbus
